On one of our last days in Paleochora, we did a nice day hiking tour through the hills around the area. Enjoying the early spring, breathing the still fresh air, and saying good-bye to the mystic places all around.
Travelling by Van and outside of the main season allows us to visit wonderful, rural beaches and places and have them for ourselves. Amazing trips and places.
On our way home, we had a few days in Peloponnes to drive up a 250 kilometres to Patras, where the ferry leaves to Ancona in Italy. Last view to Crete Avoiding the larger sitis, there is a ferry from Crete to the Peleponnes, arriving in Gythia. A beautiful view onto some snow.covered mountains in…
For the past two weeks, including the Christmas holidays and new year’s Eve, we had rented a little house at Triopetra at the south coast. After a week or so we started to miss the vanlife – despite the hot showers, fully equipped kitchen and reasonably sized bed which the house featured.
Another ferry night and we arrived on Crete. The first week we spent on “Como Beach”, right in the South, where we found a nice place for our van, just in front of the sea, and enjoyed just relaxing on the beach, the local Tavernas, and wonderful sunsets.
